So how does the Recharge Station work. Well unlike the standard electric bikes that you all know, we have developed bikes that work in a reverse theory. Rather than charging the bikes power bank to assist with pedalling and using electricity, our purpose-built Recharge bikes will produce power and electricity that you can use. The more effort and energy put in through pedalling, the more power is supplied as an output.
Our Recharge Station hire, or Pedal Charging Station hire does just that. The bespoke control unit can be linked to either one or two of our Pedal Charging Station Bikes. Obviously with two bikes you are halving the effort required and making the activity more sociable. However, the recharge station is fine as a one bike activity.
From the control box there are 6 USB ports as external outputs. We link these to charger splitters and can charge most modern phones. Once connected all that is required is a little pedal power. Our Recharge Station is linked to a visual display. The LED graphics will show how much energy is being produced and how much is required for the linked devices. Once the Pedal Charing Display determines that more power is required to be inputted, it will flash a ‘PEDAL’ warning to encourage the peddlers to increase their effort.
The beauty of the Pedal Charging station control box, where all the magic happens, is that is has 2 x standard 13-amp power supply outlets. With each bike capable of producing up to 200 watts, we can use this to power many small household electrical appliances. From laptops to TV monitors, to electric fans and radios – the Pedal Charging Station is ideal for producing pedal power. We generally say as a rule of thumb that 2 bikes can provide a continual supply of 200-250 watts without overexerting the peddlers.
