As promised from the previous blog where we supplied Batak Hire to FC Barcelona, we then moved on to supply a similar activation for the allocation of the sponsors cars – AUDI – to the world famous players of Real Madrid. From the Camp Nou to the Bernabeu – what a trip this was for our football loving staff. Batak Hire Madrid went down a storm and was another hugely successful high profile event we successfully delivered for our clients.
As soon as we had de-rigged from Barcelona we made the 7-hour drive from the Catalonian capital to Spain’s capital Madrid. Time was of the essence as we had to get the Batak units on site for when the stand builders arrived. Once on site, we could relax and assist the tech guys and stand builders in replicating the original layout from Barcelona.
Within a day the set was completed and it was time for pre-rehearsal. Knowing that again we only had one chance to get this right as shortly the activation would be broadcast live and covered by all of Spain’s major TV outlets. With the Real Madrid and Audi branding in place it was time for rehearsal proper.
Everything went swimmingly through rehearsal and suddenly it was time for the live event. With the eyes of the Spanish media upon us, it would be unwise to say that we were not a little nervous. Again the players were split into 2 teams to compete head to head on the Batak Hire Madrid activation, the Digital self-scoring football keepy uppys and the electricity producing Audi bikes.
The live event was just as successful as rehearsals and all the players fully embraced themselves in the activities. Broadcast live, the event went down a storm. The players then moved on to be awarded their club cars. With our client, the club and the sponsors happy it was another successful Batak Hire Madrid event.

Fortunately for us, the Batak Pro units operated completely fine throughout. We did have a spare unit in one of our vans, just as a complete back up.
