We have commissioned the production of a truly bespoke activity that enables your guests to charge their phones and other devices using purely pedal power. The bikes are linked to a control box where all the magic happens. From this box, participants can pedal and charge up to 12 mobile devices. We supply all the connecting cables and charging leads to charge the majority of phones. Players are often amazed that they are charging their devices using pedal power alone.

Not only is it an environmentally friendly phone charging station, but we have a LED display that shows a bar graph of what power is being produced and what power is being pulled from the attached devices. Once the power being produced falls below what is required, the display will gently offer a ‘PEDAL’ prompt to encourage players to pedal faster. The Pedal Charing Station is the only one in the UK at present that can have 2 of the bespoke bikes linked up to it. This effectively halves the effort required from one participant. No furious pedalling required as 2 participants can share the load.
Our control unit is unique. It has 6 USB outputs allowing 6 different USB chargers to be connected at any one time. When using with phone chargers we use splitter leads connected to 3 of these outputs enabling a maximum of 12 phones to be simultaneously charged. We can of course utilise the other 3 in the same manner taking the number to 24 but we find then that this becomes too congested.
Pedal Charging Station Hire is unique as it is very adaptable. The control unit is equipped with two standard 13-amp power supply outlets. This enables other smaller electronic devices to be attached and powered. We have powered cooling fans at summer events whilst the phones have been charging. The Pedal Charging Station has also powered TV displays and laptops. With Pedal Power Charging hire we are always open to offering bespoke solutions to client’s requests. As long as the power required does not exceed 200 watts for one bike or 400 watts for 2 bikes we will look at creating a bespoke solution. We recommend that client aim for 200 – 250 watts of continual use for their devices to ensure that there is a constant supply of power from the peddlers. To maintain 200 watts per bike will require some serious pedalling, so keeping it within these limits ensures that presentations will flow and power will be supplied on a continual basis (as long as players are on the bikes).
